Vehicle ConversionsSince the 1970's, gas prices have been going up steadily. Converting an existing gas-powered vehicle is a good, economical way to beat this trend, without having to add the full expense of a brand-new vehicle.Conversions are not hybrids; they run on full battery power. This is a way to eliminate almost all standard routine maintenance, keep emissions to an all-time low, help out the environment and your budget at the same time. Converting an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) to an EV (Electric Vehicle) is basically removing all the ICE components and installing EV components. The Traction Motor used in this process is rated for 100,000 hours, or about 5,000,000 miles. No, that's not a typo, 5 MILLION miles. Try getting that from a gasoline engine. Controllers are built by the Curtis Company, rated by some as the best in the industry. Many more safety features than a factory-built ICE are used, such as power crash-cutoff switches, in front and back of the vehicle, plus a quick disconnect device to kill all battery power if needed. The basic option that you can choose is conversion from gas to electric, for $12,500 which also includes 144V battery and charger. The setup for A/C, heat and power steering are not included in the base option and are extra. Also, the base option is for that of a donor vehicle (i.e, a vehicle supplied by the customer). If you want us to find a vehicle, or you have a particular type in mind, we can do that, but the cost of the vehicle will be added in. We'll convert almost anything! |
